For this specific project we had to blend a computer generated bunny on top of a live action plate.
The bunny was supposed to "jump out" of the box, do a little flip and then strike a pose.
The background plate for this shot was provided by Mas Producciones.
The first step was to erase the bunny from the background plate. We couldn't simply use 2 images (one with the bunny and one without) because we wanted to see the condensation drops run down the glass to the left.
We animated the bunny and merged it with the background. However, it was obvious we needed more than just shadows, so we projected reflections on the ground and on the glass.
Sparkles and a small deformation on the box were used to completely sell the effect.
